Next General Meeting - Thursday, March 18th 7:00
Paint in Project for March will be taught by Liz Walter. We will all need to bring to the meeting our Fall Decorative Painter Magazine as we are going to paint the “Koi fish” on a decorative fan. Please see pages 104 through to 111. For those members who read their issue on line, if you can print those pages, it would be helpful. Also, bring your regular painting supplies along with the following brushes: Angular ¾ brush down to your smaller sizes, Liner brushes and a brush for dry brushing. No need to buy special brushes we will not be scrubbing the paint into the fabric. An adjusted (for size) pattern and paint will be provided at our meeting. For those who wish it there will be extra fans available for purchase at the meeting for $2 each.

Liz has taken many seminars from Maureen over the years, and will teach 3 of Maureen’s butterflies in this exciting daylong seminar, just in time for spring!

ARLENE LINTON IS COMING TO HARBOURSIDE!!
We have tentatively set the weekend of November 20 & 21, 2010 for Arlene’s seminar.
Here is a sampling of Arlene’s beautiful designs……. Arlene has mailed design ideas for the seminar and I hope to receive these before our next meeting. The Arlene Linton seminar promises lots of stroke work and brush control knowledge making it a wonderful learning experience for all.

Paint in Project for April will be taught by Gabe Stubbs. We will all be painting on a circular item using the “One Stroke method”. Please bring a circular item to the April meeting or as an alternative item to paint on, we will have Memory Boxes available at our March meeting to take home to basecoat to enable any of us who will want to do this project on a Memory Box. I will advise the rest of the necessary supplies prior to our meeting in our April Newsletter.
